Lionsgate is about to release a movie for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which is the first book in a predecessor series. The movie will be released in November 17th, 2023.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes has a teaser that gives an idea of what they expect when the movie is out. We know that it’s set to come out, but not where or when. The teaser makes us excited for it to be released because we want to rejoin this world and revisit Panem.
Coriolanus Snow is from a noble lineage, but when the war ended, his family’s position quickly faded. When he starts mentoring Lucy Gray Baird for upcoming Hunger Games; he is alarmed because District 12 is impoverished and weak.
After Lucy Gray sang during the reaping ceremony, Snow and Lucy realize they might be able to turn the odds in their favor.
Uniting their instincts for showmanship and newfound political savvy, they work together under a tight deadline to survive.
Currently, the cast sees Tom Blyth as the young Coriolanus Snow and Rachel Zegler as Lucy Gray Baird. The film is written by Michael Lesslie based on a draft by Michael Arndt. Francis Lawrence is returning as director.
Additional cast includes Jerome Lance, Ashley Liao, Knox Gibson, Mackenzie Lansing, Aamer Husain, Nick Benson, Laurel Marsden, Lilly Cooper, Luna Steeples, and Hiroki Berrecloth, all as tributes for the games.
